Automating the Laser Cutting Process with Machine Vision

This project, carried out in collaboration with Kilt Oy, focuses on automating the laser cutting of fabric materials using machine vision and robotics. The goal is to leverage machine vision for precise positioning of materials before cutting, and for picking up the finished parts after the process. Automation aims to reduce manual labor in post-processing tasks and enhance the accuracy and repeatability of the laser cutting workflow.
